Las Vegas, January 20, 2016 – Jennifer Lopez is the latest superstar to demonstrate that nothing commands the spotlight like Swarovski crystals as she kicked off her three-year residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino’s AXIS theatre.

The international music and movie star called upon Swarovski to collaborate on the ultimate performance-worthy outfits and set designs for her highly anticipated “All I Have” show. Over 260,000 Swarovski crystals were used to embellish a series of costumes designed exclusively by Versace, and another 75,000 crystals were incorporated into the spectacular set design created specifically for the show.

Jennifer Lopez took to the stage in a series of custom-made looks created by her longtime friend and collaborator, Donatella Versace, with costuming overseen by Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn. Lopez dazzled audiences in a fabulous floor length feather and crystal-encrusted duster jacket, crystal beaded skirts, a colorful ‘BRONX’ bomber jacket and playful performance wear. Versace incorporated seven different colors of crystal into the hand-crafted designs, including Crystal, Amethyst, Light Siam and Jet. It took over 1,400 man hours to hand apply the 260,000 crystals to the multiple designs.

Costume Designer, Rob Zangardi, commented: “From the moment we started brainstorming ideas for Vegas, we knew movement would play an imperative role in our look selections, not only for functionality but also to complement Jen’s signature showmanship. Adding Swarovski crystals to the Versace garments gave us the greatest impact. Jen glows on stage yet her clothes are still fluid.”

Inspired by the magical light refracting crystal pieces adorning the set the 2014 Oscars®, the “All I Have” production design team enlisted Swarovski to create a selection of pieces that would add show-stopping drama and glamour to the show’s rotating set. The crystal experts created six crystal swag drapes, a grand staircase measuring 15 feet wide by 20 feet high covered in 38,000 crystals, and a bespoke chandelier illuminated by over 700 hanging crystal strands. The 75,000 crystals total in the set design will be sparkling focal points at each live performance.

Nadja Swarovski, Member of the Swarovski Executive Board, commented: “Jennifer is the ultimate performer and is extraordinary in all of her many roles. I am especially excited about Swarovski’s involvement in her new ‘All I Have’ show as we were involved in both the costume and set design elements. Donatella Versace, a long time Swarovski collaborator, has fashioned extraordinary costumes with crystal and the production designers have created truly show-stopping stage pieces. We are looking forward to a show that will take the audience’s’ breath away.”
